What is the difference between a local business and a preferred local business?

Buzz Points provides our members with a national directory of local businesses so that they can shop locally wherever they go. A Preferred Local Business is a member of the Buzz Points program who benefits from marketing services and customizable incentives that attract new customers and bring money back to their business. At local businesses, Buzz Points members receive more points per dollar spent than national chains, but do not receive additional marketing or incentive services.

How am I billed?

Each month, you will receive an invoice identifying the points issued to Buzz Points members in addition to any directory service fees. Directory service fees are based upon the business tier you select when you register as a Buzz Points Preferred Local Business. You will see a credit for any validated eRewards (does not include eLoyalty Card Completions).

What happens if I want to make changes to my contract?

Changes to your contract, point multiplier, eRewards or eLoyalty Card setup can be done through our Account Management Team. Changes will take effect on the 1st of the month from after the change request was placed.

What if I want to cancel?

Cancellations are handled with your account manager. Cancellations take effect at the end of the final contractual month per your specific agreement. A written email must be provided for documentation. This can be sent to your account manager (or business@buzzpoints.com).
